UK’s largest ever small business survey set to be launched

The results of the 2009 Business Pulse, the largest survey of small businesses in the UK, will be released during Small Business Week.

Small Business Week is an event aimed at supporting the country's 4.7 million small businesses, and will take place between the 19th and 23rd October. It is hoped that the Business Pulse will provide a key insight into the main issues currently affecting small businesses around the county.

Dragons' Den star Peter Jones, who will officially launch Small Business Week, commented:

"This survey will really measure the state of UK businesses. What are the reasons they are successful and, more importantly, what are the reasons for them not being successful? We don't hear enough about that."

As well as looking at the 2009 Business Pulse results, Small Business Week will examine how businesses can succeed in any financial climate and how they can plan for the future.
